Halverson & Company features business clients ranging from the closely-held small business entity with annual revenues from $1 to $5 million to large publicly and privately held corporations with annual gross receipts in excess of $1 Billion. We maintain a significant client base in the restaurant/retail, real estate, and healthcare industries with an increasing workload in professional athlete, accounting for income taxes (ASC 740 or old FAS 109), and multistate tax engagements. Our business advisory service engagements include, tax entity selection, transaction structuring, and other merger and acquisition transaction consulting.
Culture
We offer an enjoyable and challenging work environment that rivals the big four accounting firms in experience and opportunities for growth, while still allowing for a healthy work/life balance. Our busy season from February to April 15 consistently averages 60 to 65 total hours. After busy season we have a steady flow of work in the summer and we generally avoid an intense second busy season in September or October. We have an open door policy where questions are always welcome. Our office environment is relaxed, we avoid drama, and everyone gets along very nicely.

Clients
Our restaurant client base is strong and continues to grow. We serve large restaurant companies that are audited by the big four with revenues in excess of $300 million. In addition to the larger restaurant groups, we also have a strong presence in local restaurant markets in San Diego, Orange County, and Phoenix with many single and multi-unit concepts.
In addition to our strong restaurant presence, we continue to grow our healthcare clientele. Our clients range from private and public companies from skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, doctor groups and pharmaceutical companies with revenues in excess of $1.0 billion. We provide all types of tax related services from compliance, accounting for income taxes (ASC 740), mergers and acquisitions, entity considerations, and other consulting services.
Over the years Halverson & Company has grown its professional athlete and coach’s clientele. Our current client list includes former and current NBA and NFL players, coaches, and managers.
In addition to the above-mentioned markets, we serve various industries and clients that help create a well-rounded public accounting practice.
